Halloween Highlights

Cade as Wolverine.

Shayla as Sleeping Beauty.

Shayla and Damon.

Donna and Mandy

Halloween is here..... We had great weather this year for Halloween. Shayla was a hoot. She loved Halloween. Since she is not the least bit shy she loved going from house to house knocking on doors and saying, "Trick or Treat." She went around the neighborhood once with her mom, once with some friends, and then with her dad and Cade. Cade, due to his tonsil surgery was not really into Halloween this year. He fell asleep that night at about 4:15 and took a couple hour nap. He would not even put his costume on to go trick or treating until his favorite buddies, Bailey and Jordan Jessop came by. He then got into the spirit.

Cade's Preschool trip to the Fire Station

Cade's preschool class got to take a field trip of the American Fork Fire Station. The kids all thought it was great. The even got to climb up on the big fire trucks.

30th Birthday

Robbie finished the day off by taking me to dinner up at Sundance. The day went too fast. I was such a great day. Thanks to my wonderful husband, and all my great friends and family that called and contributed to making this an extra special day for me.

I woke up to a wonderful surprise from my husband. He leaves for work really early and had the gift bag with some boots in it that I had been wanting, a great card, flowers and a balloon all sitting on the table for me.

I had the best birthday ever this year. My girlfriends started it off on my birthday eve by surprising me with a great gift, singing, and party hats.

Surgery

As many of you know over the past 4 and some odd months, Cade has battled sleep. After many doctor appointments and tests, it was determined that he has sleep apnea and needed his tonsils out. We hope this is an answer to our long lost sleep. On Thursday, he went in and had his tonsils removed. Here is our little trooper.

Thoughts

The other day, I took Cade and Shayla to the library. We found the movie, "Akeelah and the Bee." I have been wanting to watch it. The movie was very cute and had this quote that I absolutely loved and would like to try harder to live by. It did not say who the quote was from.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be?"
