Surgery

As many of you know over the past 4 and some odd months, Cade has battled sleep. After many doctor appointments and tests, it was determined that he has sleep apnea and needed his tonsils out. We hope this is an answer to our long lost sleep. On Thursday, he went in and had his tonsils removed. Here is our little trooper.

Thoughts

The other day, I took Cade and Shayla to the library. We found the movie, "Akeelah and the Bee." I have been wanting to watch it. The movie was very cute and had this quote that I absolutely loved and would like to try harder to live by. It did not say who the quote was from.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be?"

Aren't Cousins Fun

Kids swimming ---- yes it was 90+ degrees.

The girls had so much fun dressing Shayla up. This is one of the girl's old shirts.

Don't we wish summer could last forever............

Last weekend, we had a fall break. The kids had Thursday, Friday, and Monday off of school. Cade has been telling me for several months that he wanted to go visit his cousins Jacob, Christopher, Rachel, and Katie. So I decided on Wednesday that we would load up and head down to Queen Creek, Arizona. My wonderful babysitter and friend Megan agreed to go with me and help me out. Which she was awesome and we all just loved. The kids were having so much fun and their cousins even sabotaged me into staying an extra day. The long drive there and back was well worth the fun that was had while we were there. Thanks to the Flewellens and the Adelmanns for showing us such a great time.

Kids Say the Cutest Things

Yesterday morning, here in Utah we woke up to snow. YEAH.................. I was so excited because it was October 12. Way too early for snow in my opinion. When Robbie opened the blinds and Cade saw the snow, Cade said, "I have been waiting for that." I thought it was so cute.
We had to go to church so he was incredibly disappointed that he could not go out and build a snowman with his dad in the first snowfall of the season. Luckily for mom, the snow was gone by the time we got out of church.
Because it was so cold when we got home from chuch, I could not wait to get out of my tights and high heels. My feet have a tendency in the winter to get extremely cold super easy. Cade wanted to play Candyland, but I told him that I needed to put some socks on because I was so cold. He said, "I can just give you a warm hug to warm you up mom because I am so warm." He proceeded to share his warm hug with his mom.

We went down to Nephi Canyon a few weeks ago and got pictures of all the beautiful fall colors. I love fall and the nice temperatures. I only wish that they could just last a little longer than what they ever do.
